Tom,
Ordered mine abuot a month ago. Was quoted 10 weeks. Another guy here in Dallas ordered his a few weeks later and was quoted 8 weeks. Should have mine in a month or so. Can't wait to get started.

F-16
Looks like there are going to be a bunch of these around next year. Found another wild paint scheme for mine(will have to keep it covered while at home, and probably wont be on any magazine covers) that will be a hit. May initially fly mine on my Ram 750, but the long range plan is a 120, should have lots and lots of vertical!!

Anyone flown an Avonds F-16 ?
Yup,
Flown mine a couple of times. Very nice.
My 9kg thrust Mercury HP gives it PLENTY of go, so a P120 will make it ballistic in the vertical. Watch the top speed - Philip recommends a VNE of 175 mph (from memory), and I'm sure this can easily be exceeded.
Unbelievable slow flight characteristics - even better than my old Hotspot.
Builds quite quickly - mine took about 6 weeks of evenings/weekends and then I flew it in primer. Have posted a few pix of it on RCU a couple'a weeks ago, including the hidden rudder actuation system.
Generally everything fitted pretty well, and Philips instructions are excellent (as usual). His kits are the closest thing you can get to BVM quality in Europe, simple building and maintenance, and super value for money as well as very nice flying jets.
The 'scale' main landing gear, designed by Gerald Rutten (Holland), also looks very nice and I understand that it will be available early in the new year.
If you get any questions during construction I'll be happy to help by email
Am sure you'll all be exceedingly happy with the new F-16 from Philip Avonds.
Happy Landings,
Mike C

Avonds F-16
Hi Tom,
http://ultra.glo.be/daco/KHome.html
The Belgum AF had two F-16's with the Dianna theme, one modest and one more "revealing". Their F-16 is a great book, just that the pictures are a little small. I got the decals and books from a rep in Va.
I was thinking of getting the Avonds F-16 but I'm afraid the scale gear will break the bank.
Good luck!
Jon
