I'm Happy with mine..........I don't have the video yet, and there are more pics that are supposed to be coming.

I won't be flying mine the rest of the month........practicing for my local Pattern contest at the end of the month

Hello,

Looks like an awesome 540. My new 40% YAK is very cool. Can't wait to fly it more when I get back.

Thanks
David

Your vids look great........I need to get some!

I'll take some pics of my rudder damage. Damn hangar rash! I pulled 3 of the 5 hinges out. I just picked up a new syringe w/needle to glue them back in. I'll be back in the air this weekend.

Well a buddy let me have a 30guage needle and syringe. I filled the holes with gorilla glue(Elmers brand really) and wiped off the excess.

All the hinges are good. I didn't get a chance to fly it over the weekend, so I Plan to head out this weekend instead. I'm also going to switch to new fuel and a CF prop.

Ok got it back in the Air-----it hasn't flown since April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After flying pattern for the last few months.........this bird needs some trimming help. Everything was too sensitive and not precise enough. I'm starting the process of trimming it and changing dualrates/expo to fit my "new" competition flying style. I'm also thinking about tightening up the springs on my TX sticks.

Other than that it flew good, the low end was a little lean......about 1/16 turn should fix it. Also my smoke line fell off the muffler twice so I'm going to flange out the tubes to help from the line pulling off.

My buddy Frank flew the sportsman imac with it today.......it looked good, ailerons were to soft then after adjustment we had too much.

Then I ran out of break in fuel. Its off to the Amsoil fuel now.......1-2 tanks of that and then I'm putting on the Carbon Fiber Mej 27x10 prop.

Its a composite........AeroFZD.

There is a ton of work to do to get it ready. No firewall, no landing gear plate, no trays, Wing servo holes are cut but no mounts inside. No hold down for the hatch etc...etc....etc..... Its my longterm project. And no instructions........I do have plans for a motorbox though. I'm looking to make the plane scale with cockpit and all

Well the weekend didn't go as planned.........Saturday flying was really good.

Sunday......first flight .......after the fuel switch went bad. Things sounded terrible. Adjusted the needles and couldn't get fuel to the Carb.

spent at least an hour in the sun (110 degree sun) trying to get it to run.....no luck. Took it home, and yes a the tubing inside the tank came off.....even with it tied on.

Monday.....spent another 45-1hr trying to get the motor to run.......the needles were so far off it was straving the motor. (and my motor doesn't like the factory settings and is very tempermentle........instead of an 1/8th turn you go in 1/16th turns. Regardless We finally got it running good on the new fuel and it is most likely still a little rich on the low. I even used the new Carbon fiber prop!

Too bad I'm not gonna be able to fly for like 8 weeks now due to a TDY

Su is currently being painted. It had another guys name on the wing and side of the fuse. I'm not that good at matching paint.......once he is done, then I'll start on the motor box.
