Default how do i change ride height on monster truck

Ok im buying a t-maxx and everything but my smartech magic wheel is still ok. All it has is some broken driveshafts I am going to fix soon. But anyway I was wondering how can I make the suspension lower? I want to make it like an onroad truck, basically only about maybe half an inch to the ground. Heres some pics i found on the internet of it so you can see it:

This pic looks exactly like mine, its the same body except for my body is broken in half...

Ok thats enough pics and yes i can just simply push down on the car and make the bottom touch the ground, i want to make it about half an inch from touching the ground.

You should be able to change the position of the shock on the A-arm; the further out you put it, the lower the truck gets, the closer in you put it, the higher the truck gets.

There are a few ways you can lower the truck. To me, the best method is to use a shorter shock. However, this can get a little expensive. An excellent alternative is to put spacers in the shocks. Simply put a piece of fuel tubing on the shock shaft in front of piston, install the piston/shaft assembly in the shock body, and you've reduced the upward travel of the suspension (translation - lowered truck).

Ok so i8tweety, what you are saying is basically take aprt the shock, and put some fuel tubing onto the metal part (piston/shaft?) so that its basically instead of relaxing at no weight on the shocks (except for the the truck of course) and you put fuel tubing at the upper part so basically instead of 0% downward it starts and can not go higher then maybe 60%? If you dont understand how im asking you if im right then ill just try it how you said.

Ill be back in a little bit im going to go try to lower the upward travel of the suspension lol

OK im a little confused, i can't seem to figure out where to put the fuel tubing to make the shock shorter. I want it to be barely a shock, like make it so its alredy pushed in 80% so it can only go down not even half an inch! I scanned the pic but i got the spring i took off, the shock with the shaft coming out and it inside.

Ok i had an idea just now i need you guys to tell me if i should do it or not. First off once i get it to a lower ride height, im not going to bash it at all really. Im just going to take it down to a baseball field and maybe go up and down max speed a couple times, work on my turning in dirt. But im not going to take it off any ramps or anything.

This is what i want to do, I want to take the spring OFF the shock and just put it back on like that. Because i can't find a way to shorten them, i mean i can make the spring shorter so its just more stiff but that wont change the height above the ground! I want to make it just very low to the ground almost like an on road car. But with my idea, the car will have literally NO suspension, but i find that ok because since its so low to the ground then it cant really take much of a bounce down. Look at the pic, I show it how i want it to be then i show it with the shaft sticking out. Do you think it'd be fine for me to do this because remember its basically going to be an onroad truck, except maybe a half an inch above the ground. Also please dont say just "get shorter shocks" because right now i dont have any money, i owe someone $35 for helping me buy my t-maxx, I need to buy a $20 pull start for the t-maxx. And im a kid so i dont have a huge money flow, usually around 30-40$ a week.

Perhaps this illustration I threw together will help better explain things.

actually if you cut the springs that would lower your ride height but then you'd have to pay 10 bucks to get new springs

Cutting the springs will also increase the spring rate. Fewer coils means stiffer spring.

Well i tried to open the shock to get to the metal part but their was no way of unscrewing it or taking it apart, but i will look again.
