Default 84in. Cessna conversion to EP

Hi guys, I'd like to ask for advice please.

I'm planning to purchase a 84in. Cessna 182 from a fellow flyer, it's currently running a .90 sized Thunder Tiger engine with only 2 flights on it. Guy is selling it because he had to sell his SUV and has no way of transporting it now. - the main dilemma is, I'd like to convert it to electric power. Why? Well it's going to be a nice project and I'd rather fly EP. I've read here somewhere about a huge J3 Cub flying electric.

Is there anyway I can get to get the Cessna converted to EP? Motor recommendations(where to get them, etc), batt sizes, etc?

Thanks in advance, and looking forward for the creative juices of the great minds in here to start flowing.

Here's some pics of the plane

I don't know about converting it but I can tell you there are a lot of guys in the electric topics on RCGroups.com. There should be someone there that can help. I haven't looked at the electric topics here but you might try there also.

Enjoy!

That is one beautifull plane......but converting AFTER building is more difficult than converting During construction - but that's not saying it can't be done....just more work.

Start saving for the batteries
