Default old WILGA 1/4 scale - rebuild or scrap?

Hello - i have inherited a rather old but none the less splendid, 1/4 scale Wilga 104 (100%balsa) scale model. She needs her tailplane repairing, cockpit repairs and fuselage strengthning as has obviously been belly flopped. I am a novice at building but very keen to return this plane to an airworthy condition.

1 - Is it worth repairing this old relic?

2 - is it possible without a plan?

3 - it came with a very tired OS .80 engine - would proabably be underpowered, even if it did run - what engine would suit best - 30cc petrol or something similar i would think?

Any advice, views or just a point in the right direction woould be gladly recieved. I can forward pictures of her if needed.
