Stop
You're using a 148 for steering???
You better buy 20 sets of gears, because you'll keep on breaking them
I'd only use a 148 for throttle on one of my airplanes,,never in any of my RC cars or trucks.
What type of car is this you're using it in?

RE: replacement gear for servo???
How much you willing to spend
for a buggy like that a [link=http://www.servocity.com/html/hs-625mg_ultra_speed.html]hitec 635 metal gear [/link] would work fine,,,around $40
they only get more expensive from there
another great servo for the money is the [link=http://www.servocity.com/html/s9451_hi-speed_ball_bearing.html]Futaba 9451[/link] about $75
