Does it fit threw the body ok? Can you still adjust the carb with that on? Looks like it will protect the engine alright and I agree with DaveG55. Watch the heat. Hopefully it will be fine.
P.S. I think you should give that air filter a cleaning before it starts to restrict air flow. Just my opinion.

Ditto, and what's the little plastic baggy on the front by the shock? Also why do you only run one shock on the front and not the same on the rear, and how does it effect the way your Savage runs?? Cool though, surely won't scuff anything through all that.

RE: my savy25
Hi there,
This weekend I cleaned my car completely. I disassembled the whole car untill the diffs and remounted it again. It took me 5 hours !
So my car looks now like NEW
Here are the answers:
1) little plastic baggy on the front: This is just a plastic cap around the battery connector. With this the connector won't get dirty.
2) Does it fit threw the body ok? Can you still adjust the carb with that on? --> see pictures
3) one shock on the front : I have bent the front shafts of my springs twice. So I now I am trying something else here. So far my car drives well in the curves. But I just do racing with it. I am gonna put some oil in the front springs to make them more stiff and see what the result is.
4) reactions about heating : So far I didn't test my car with this engine protection. So far I can't tell you anything about the heat exposure. But I think it won't be a problem.

I like it!!! Great mod...
But no one considered the weight... how much? Seems like thick aluminum to me..
One suggestion though, perhaps you can just cut the isde holes altogether to provide one big hole instead of multiple ones.
And if you space on top, do the same. For added support and more rigid frame, add a X or + pattern on the side panels...possibly on top as well...
Good job nonetheless!!
