Default GP PT-19 Engine??

Just want to see what engines you guys are using in your Great Planes PT-19 Arf. I was thinking either a Satio 100 or an O.S. 120?

Thanks,
Tony Gagliardi Jr.

I flew mine with an OS .91 and an exhaust extension that placed the muffler totally out of sight!

OS .91 Surpass. Flies great and exhaust is completely hidden? With an on board glow the ONLY hole in the cowl, other than the three scale openings up front, is for the needle adjust.

I used an OS 120 FS. Also on board glow and muffler extension fit perfect. I did open the intake holes to increase airflow. Did have to add tail weight so I'd use an OS 91 FS if I had to do it all over again. Love the plane.....

OS .91 Surpass inverted. Slimeline pitts muffler. Would of went with the OS muffler extension, but Tower was out of stock. Great combination. Flies like a full-scale would.

I have one ready to go with a Saito 120. has not been flown yet. I think it's a bit more than needed.

Sounds like the Saito 100 will be a perfect match for the PT!!

Thanks,
Tony

Tony,

I've used a Satio 100 on my first GP PT19 and using it again on my second. I installed an on-board glow and mounted the engine inverted. On my second plane, I'm purchasing the new Slimline inverted PITTS muffler. Satio's dorky flex muffler keeps breaking.

I would put a YS 1.10 with apc 16-6 prop in it. My Ryan STA Robarts flew awesome untill I sold it.[] I have been kicking my self in the a** for a year now.

This review is for the Hangar 9 version but it discusses gas engines in the model
http://www.modelairplanenews.com/reviews/pt19.asp
The GP & H9 versions were similar size, so some of the info could possibly apply.
