Jr 3810 FM or PCM ??
Hi
I am planning on switching to JR from Futaba, the Jr to my liking is a 3810 .... the only thing i cant get is which one to go for PCM or FM they have a price diff. alright. But whats the Tech Diff.
also if i buy a FM TX can I use a PCM RX ??
PCM TX Works with a FM RX only u have to switch the TX to FM ? true or false.
I liked the PCM with the 811 DS servos....is that good enough ? whats the best buy
One guy is selling me a TX with a R800 Rx and DS 811 servos......i feel that this combo has been setup !!! coz i asked for DS 811's as the setup normally has a PCM Rx ???
Helpp me guys..give me the best choice...money aint the problem. I need the best set !!

The only difference is the receiver that comes with the system. The radio would be capable of PPM (FM), ZPCM, and SPCM. That is true, you would just change the TX to match the receiver you are using. The PCM with 811's is good, but so are the other options that are good as well. Here in the states we don't have an R800 receiver, so I'm not sure what the specs would be on that or what servos would come bundled with it. I hope this helps!

R800 here is a FM - is a FM RX with 8 Channels.
OK, well i was researching last night and found out that here in Dubai I can get a PCM Rx and 811 DS servos ....combo for around 1800 Dhs.
And the Combo with the R800 Rx is 1600 Dhs.
To buy a PCM Rx is another 400 Dhs. So I would go and buy the PCM combo and save 200 Dhs.
Smart !! wonder how much is the PCM S Rx R649 i think, in the states for ??

I am saving around 600 Dhs buying the PCM COMBO
gosh!! what a steal.
In any case now I shall get the 3810 soon..
one more silly qs... if i get a 41 Mhz freq. Radio. what do i need to keep in mmind when i get a fly pack ? what sort of Rx with what crystal ? does any crystal do ? or how does it work

I'm not sure what the laws and rules are there concerning this, but it should be that you would just need to get a flight pack on the 41 Mhz band, and get a crystal to match.
