Default tillotson carb 3-w 150

Hey guys, anyone heard of problems w/new tillotson carbs on the 3w 150?A guy was telling me he heard alot of people been switching to walbro's to get performance.This is the first for me.

No, but I have heard guys tossing the Walbro for a Tillotson, the mid-range is better on the Tillotson is the general consensus. Never heard that the Walbro has better performance. Tillotsons for me, even considering getting one for my DA 50.

Hey off2fly I hada 3w 150 with the Tils. carb. The case broke on the engine and AI covered under warr. The strange thing was that I got this rebuilt looking engine, was not the orginal, and had a walbro carb on it. Put it on the plane and cant tell any diff. between the 2 different carbs.

Hey,Thanks for the info.I sent my 150 back to bobby,looks like leaking on case throwing gas &oil all over.

haven't heard that. We are using Tilitson carbs on our EVO 150's and 300's. Our 80's will have both.
I have an EVO 80 here with the Tilitson, and am most impressed with it.

Walbro's seem to be more forgiving, not saying they are better but just a little less sensitive.
