Question on .15 GFS/R #3029
Does this engine take a long or short glow plug and what temperature plug should I use? Brand recommendations also appreciated. I also need info on propeller recomendations for sport and high speed flying. This is a new engine that I have had for about 10-12 years. The carb was binding so I installed the same size Perry carb on it. Also, I may want to buy another one of these engines, are they still being made? Thank You.

RE: Question on .15 GFS/R #3029
I run my RC-combat .15 engines with Novarossi C5 plugs. Enya 3 is just slightly better
Just 1% nitro, and castor based fuel. with 22% oil (add castor)
The perry carb will reduce power somewhat.
props:
8x4 shortened, 8x3, 7x4,7x5 I like the black MA best. Use the 3241 or 3242 muffler.
I have the engines available, as well as aluminium rear covers, should your engine have a plastic cover.

RE: Question on .15 GFS/R #3029
SLJ,
This engine, at least in its current, blue anodized head version, comes with the hot standard glow plug from MVVS (Novarossi #5).
It is still being made and one customer tells me it can spin a 7x5 prop in excess of 22,000 RPM...
Since it is designed to run on 0-5% nitro, it needs a hotter glow plug than larger engines.
If you shop around, you can buy it for less outside the USA.
