My revo went through 3 glow plugs to break in the 2.5r. One way bearings go alot in revo's.. sometimes you can just take it off, and free it up, sometimes they pile up. BODY CLIPS!!! seems every time I roll my truck I lose 1 or 2. I've had no other breakdowns, even with a mid block kit in it. I keep a spare wheel/tire and a few spur gears in my bag as well.

Well I never run a Body on my truck, I buy Bodies and paint them more for fun than use, So clips shouldnt really be a priority. Anyway you should get about 4 plugs, I honestly am using the same glow plug since I got it, and I have ran it like 2 times past break in.
NOTE: I also have the 2.5r

Spare body clips. I have lost several. Keep a spare glow plug. Watch the wheel nuts, they work loose on you. Never had a problem with the oneway bearing or spur yet. If you are using the EZ Start, you will not need the glow ignitor. Enjoy the Revo, it's a great truck.

Thanks guys, keep um coming, I have plugs, glow igniter covered.
What plugs do you reccomend other than the Traxxas. I have some os 8.
Anything on the suspension set up, I will be using it for genernal playing around, no racing.
Suspension seems realy soft. I want it to handle well, but I also want to jump it around.
I have seen some videos, they can realy take a beating.

0S.8 is nice ad as for the suspension, If your maxx was new in box you will have Suspension clips you clip above that Spring holder ontop the shock. You dont really need it, Just when you Break it in make sure you have a good Hour or two and follow the Directions. Some thing Traxxas says to do is not needed but most is good.

I used this to start with the suppension set up. It really made a differance. [link=http://www.traxxas.com/support/pub/revo_performance_setup_guide.htm]Setup guide[/link]
As far as tires I have put almost a gallon of fuel on the streeet and grass, some dirt (hard pack) Proline Bow Tie 40's on dish wheels (not the 23mm ones the Revo/t-maxx standard) I still have the same glow pulg and Do use the blue wire I have not had any problem with it, so I don't see why not to use it.

After two and a half gallons:
I still use the blue wire - never had an issue.
I replaced the glow plug because I wanted to. Not because I had to. I run an OS LC3.
I bought Boas tires on Hurricane wheels because I race. The stock tires did just fine for everything else.
As far as gearing, it depends on where you drive and how you drive. I'd leave the stock gearing on and see which way you decide you want to go. I went to 14/40 gearing for the tight indoor track, but after about 2 gallons and a GOOD tuning session, I went back up to 15/40.
I personally think the stock springs are too soft for the Revo. I ordered tan springs for the rear and will move the stock rear springs to the front when they come in. Again, drive it and see what you think. Too much depends on driving style to give you a solid answer.
Watch the DVD, break it in exactly how traxxas says to and you shouldn't have any problems enjoying the Revo.

Well I broke it in tonight, went pretty much as the manual/DVD says. Temp out side was 47 when I started 40 when I finished. Wraped the head for the first three tanks til temps got up over 200, then took it off and temps stayed good.
Fourth tank went exactly like it should, didn't shift at all. Fifth tank shifted into second and I almost ran out of parking lot to stop it. The last tank temp. hit 281 once so I stopped, richened it up and temps droped and held.
Over all thing went well.
Next is to tune it in, i ran out of day light the last two tanks was done in the car lights and one light at the end of the parking lot. I just wanted to
get the break in out of the way.

what type of fuel u running? im using feckin 30% traxxas topfuel.. hate that junk. my revo runs so hot with it. im running a os cold plug with 2 copper washers below the glow plug to lower the compression so in turn it lowers the heat.
