Default new tires for REVO

I was interested in getting new shoes for my revo but I had a question. Are the talons the only ones that fit on the stock revo rims or will others do?

Thanks Guys and Gals

I was mainly looking at those bow tie by proline and road rage. Whats the difference with the "maxx" and 40 series?

The 40s are a bigger tire and fit better on the revo then the maxx

uh im kinda in the same boat. my talon tires are starting to disintegrate and was wondering which tire i should switch to. the sportmaxx tires seem to be the ones all the racers use. they are like 35 bucks a pair.. where is the cheapest place to buy at?

I thought all of the 40 series tires (including the gemini - which is what is stock on the REVO) are the same size -- anyway you can buy new rims for 14.50 a pair (pro line velocity at www.towerhobby.com) and their bow-tie version tires are 24.99 a pair

you could also upgrade to the nicer/stronger 23mm hex hubs for your wheels then you have slightly pricier hubs, but better toughness overall

no no my friend.. gemini are 3.8". those proline 40 series are a smaller wheel. they fit on the revo, but overall it is a smaller wheel, along with the bowties, which would change your final output gear ratio. it would give you more kick at the bottom and less top speed. hmm. sporttrax tires are 3.8" wide and 5.75 tall. stock talon on revo are 3.25" wide and 5.9" tall. (i dont mean to sound like an ahole, no no no. im figgering out this fer myself too.) so all in all, sporttrax tires can fit on our gemini wheels, bowties cannot. but we could run the smaller wheels and tires, proline 40 series/bowtie. ooh! i found sporttrax tires fer 24.95 https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...=ns&pn=TRX5470 . decisions decisions..

...[:@] ooh found a mistake... Pro-Line's 40 Series Velocity 6 Weld Chrome Wheels are actually BIGGER than our gemini rim. they require Pro-Line Bow Tie 40 Tires M2. their total height is 5.4" and are 3.4" wide. i wonder if sporttrax tires can fit on 40's...

I suggest getting a pair of maximizer beadlocks. I got my X-75 offset ones hooked up to the Team Losi Zombie-Maxx tire and they are so sweet. Best thing I have ever bought for the Revo, the beadlocks look sweet and are very easy to put the tire on. http://maximizerproducts.com/Composite_Offset.html There prices are over exegerated. THats USD and when I ordered from my LHS I paied 33.99 and the other kind are 28.99

Those look pretty nice. Are they any heavy then a reg rim? Or just about the same. You also have a pic of them on your revo?
