Just bought my daughter one and I let her use the 2 1900 scr batteries which I use in my Tamiya...they only last about 6 mins. Whats the best battery for this truck, I need to pick a couple up. Maybe something in the $30-45 range?

I am having the same problem with my sons Stampede. It eats through batteries, even 3300s. I think the major loss is through the rough driveline. I will be adding CVDs and bearings to see how that helps.

A reply to this post would definitely be awesome. Do you recommed NIMH or NICD? I love the 1900mah 8.4v Duratrax, but it only lasts about 6-7 min. Thanks.

i get about a 12mn run on a Venom 3000 nimh pack. at 15-20 bucks on ebay, you cant get a better deal. Also what charger are you using. If its a standard 4 hr wall charger or z fast charger, try a peak charger. I prefer my Dynamite Prophet plus. Charge the new batts right away and wait for the battery to peak, the press the start button again and re peak it. A full charge of the batts takes about 20min.
