Default DA-100 PROP QUESTIONS

I have a new DA-100 and have prop size questions.

The shop I bought the engine from said to break the engine in with a wood 26x10. This size sounded too small -- what do you guys think? They also said to use a 28x10 after about five gallons of gas. This size sounded too big -- again what do you guys think?

I normally would have gone with my gut feel and used a Mejelik 27x10 (for break-in and beyond) but the guy at the hobby shop is extremely knowlegeable and has never given me bad advice. The engine will be on a 28lb plane used for 3D, especially hovering and I'm worried the 28x10 may load the engine too much and cause over-heating.

Thanks for your help!!!

Hi

Mejelik 27x10

Is a great Prop for break In and I still use it because I like the spool up response. Other also run the 28 #10 when broken in.

I've used all three 26x10 3w wood and mejzlik 27x10 and 28x10.

The 27x10 was by far my favorite prop for both spool up and pull.

Ditto above

I used a mejzlik 27x10 for break in and now use a mejzlik 28x10 for Imac sequence flying. I prefer the 28x10 for my purpose.

When I bought my mine, DA recommended the Menz 27x10 for break-in and as the best prop for 3D. That's what I've been running and has worked great.
