Im new and this is my Nitro r/c
hey all, this is my first time being on this fourm. Seems to be the best R/C fourm so far.
Last year i purchased a Nitro RS4 RTR 3 evo from Pinnicle Hobby in Ontario, Canada
So far all the upgrades ( that aren't much) are a Nissan Skyline R34 Body from HPI Racing. It's painted Metallic Blue with Sliver stripes.
Stiffer shocks in the front and a bigger air filter. Within the next week when i get my paycheck im hopeing to upgrade from the T-15 Stock motor,
too a much powerfull motor. Any suggestions of a motor would be great, im looking to spend $200-300 Canadian on the motor.
Below are pic's of my nitro r/c, hope u like them.

ohh yea on the skyline body i cut out the plastic grill and added a custom one . And it does some good for the car, it's like a mesh so air can pass through it and give some cooling . once i have all my preformance mods done im gonna add a MKIV Supra Body from HPI

first of all, and i know its been said, those bodies are awesome!!![8D] and if you want a great engine than definatly get the O.S. .12 tz. lots of horsepower and torque and speed in a small block engine.

UUH guys he's new to this so dont you think a .12 TZ would be a preatty big hassle for him.
The reason i dont reccomend the .12 TZ is because there are much much morepowerful engines, that are easier to tune, and much more relieble. The only up-side to the .12TZ is it is a professional Race-legal engine.
Ok, the most popular engine that people put into ther RS4's is probably the O.S. .18 Cv-RX. They make these cars crazy fast!, and if you want to go abosolutely insane speeds, then put a O.S. 18 TZ, the O.S. 18 TZ is the fastest engine you can put into the RS4, without doing some serious modifications. If your wondering why the .18 TZ has so much more power then the .12 TZ, is because instead of just .12 cubic inch engine, its a .18 cubic inch engine. Which makes it illegal to race it at a track in the standard rules, but you can race in the Outlaw class.
the O.S. .18 Cv-rx is probably around the same HP as the O.S. .12 TZ, but the .18 TZ blows them both away by neraly double!!
The O.S. .18 CV-RX has been dyno tested for around 1.5HP,and the .18 TZ had been dyno tested all the way at nearly 2.4 hp!
But i seriously gotta reccomend that you put in front and rear CVD's because the .18 TZ will tear them apart.
Here's a link to the CVD's

the .18 TZ cost $210 on tower hobbies. Then to get it to fit you need engine mounts $20, and a new header, and a new much stronger clutchHere are the links.

and you probably want to beef up the drivetrain a little bit.,

These drivetrain upgrade arnet necesary, but i know you can get the dif gears that comes with the 18SS and the are stronger then the stock ones in your EVO. You might want to get some CVD's to replace the dogbones. And i would seriously reccomend you get the brake that the 18SS has it helps stopping the EVo so muchm and with all this extra speed your gonna need it.
