Anyone out there know where I can get a replacement Windshield for this plane?

I am building one and the original one is torn and bent up pretty bad.

I tried using my Hot Air gun to straighten it out, but it is in really bad shape.

This is the only thing left to do on the plane before I can test fly it.....

Any suggestions?

Dave, As A quick fix i have used the old Beat up ones as a pattern and cut a new one out of a clear 2 liter pop Bottle. They come out Rather nice and work great until you can track down the one you need.

Get a 12" X 12" sheet of clear plastic at your LHS and use the old one as a pattern or make a cardboard template from the plane and cut a new one. Once you get it fastened in 2 corners you can use heat gun and masking tape to mold it in place. Then use canopy glue and tape it down until dry and put a few screws in the corners.

I got one from Tower a couple of years ago. I ordered one of the kits before they were discontinued, didn't open the box for two years and when i did I noticed it was cracked. I gave them a call and had a new one in a matter of days.

I have tried to contact Dynaflite via the website, and they say to use my LHS.. However my LHS said that Tower no longer supplies Dynaflight.... so back to the drawing board.

HarryJ : have you seen the windscreeen for this bird?
not exactly what I would call an easy screen to make.
It is similar to the H9 Taylorcraft that wraps around the wing at the top, and the sides of the plane as well.
And there is no real place to screw it down to.....
