Ya, sorry... Where I come from sarcasm is an art. Don't want to be too big of an ahole.
Seriously dude, those 8.5" Jumbo tires from Imex will cause more problems then they will solve. Some like how they look, and that's cool- if you like em, get em. However, it can cause more part breakage and you will probably have to run the engine richer to compensate for the additional heat it will be generating to spin those tires up. There isn't a gear combo in existance that will get you back to 'stock' gearing, but if you go down 2-3 teeth on the clutchbell and up 3-6 teeth on the spur, you will probably be heading in the right direction.
If you want em to 'show off' and don't mind the performance and reliability loss then get them. If you want to keep bashing and running your truck, don't get them.

its better to get something like the 40series coz those hotbodies strips easily and savs steering will be more sloppy unless u have the best steering servo

well if you ask me i wouldn't unless your running up crubs all the time those tires a way too heavy for 1/8 MTs and like people have said the rims that comes with them are crap and will strip

Personaly i never use the standard tyres - ever!
I went straight to7 inch tyres and a 14/52 combo on a 3 speed and never had hassles. Only thing is to be easy on the throttle when comming up a hill in races as it will wheeleeeeeeeeee and even though i have a wheely bar it still is har to control on 3 wheels.
Id try it but definatly not on a standard 25 motor and a 2 speed regardless of the sg/cb combo.

get some 40 seies boties and your problems will be gone poooooof gone just like that lol. thats what i ran on my savage when i had it. cause when i first got it the stock tires suk you have absolute no control wats so ever. buuuuuutttttttt!!!!!!!!. when i switched to 40 series boties it was the complete opposite. it handles great. the motor can turn them so easly and they are light and race ready tires lol. so they are the way to go i think. lol.
