Yeh but that will take all the fun out of it. I have body work and paint experience with full size vehicals in the past. Thanks for the referral , if i do a horrible job then i'll think about it.

RE: Any painting tips ?
trim it after painting, also back those jackal graphics with white after you put them on or use a pre-cut paint mask and use differnet color paints to create your designs. I have done both and I like the look of the mask better. Here is a link to a mask:

do some searching and you will find some real good designs.

I was thinking of trimming it first too, because they say to clean up the sharp edges with a sanding wheel on a dremel. That makes sense you want to do that first . I should get the paint , scissors and reamer , i ordered then i'll be ready to start. Meanwhile i'm gonna scuff the inside and put the window masks on. I will post a pic when i get it done ! Thank for the help ! [sm=biggrin.gif]

RE: Any painting tips ?
I always trim mine afterwards, I will tell you why. I like having the extra body pieces on there for the overspray, so I dont spray myself, and its easier to hold onto the body when you are painting. You can still use a sanding wheel to smooth out the surfaces, just use it on the dremmel at the lowest speed setting so you sand, not melt, the body. You shouldn't hurt the paint at all as long as you give it sufficient drying time. Hope this helps...

Sounds like you got it going on Bennett. What you describe could look pretty cool.
I too, am doing a Rubicon but I am basing the decals and body color on my favorite brand of beer. [sm=cool.gif]
I'm doing all decal work in photoshop but havent decided whether to go with water slide decals or sending the file to a graphics place to transfer them to vinyl.

RE: Any painting tips ?
I trimmed my bodies first and got them all fitting nice before I painted em. Personal preference I suppose. A good clean with some hot soapy water (dishwashing stuff) before painting is required to remove any dirt/oils etc.
Oh yea and peeling off that clear film afterwards...priceless
