E-maxx Gear/ Trans troubleshooting and questions?
I have a fairly new E-Maxx, its all stock except for the front and rear body/ shock mounts that I just installed from RPM. I was using it and it started sounding like the gear inside the transmission is spinning but is stripped, it will not accelerate now? I have a few questions. First: How do I take it apart to look at what is broken? If it's one of the gears what should I upgrade it to so that this doesnt happen again? Also when this is apart what are some good mods I can do at the same time?
Thanks for any and all help,
Nick

Disconnect the motor leads. Remove the front and rear ends from the chassis, so that you can remove the center half shafts from the tranny. Unscrew the chassis braces from the chassis and the tranny comes off. That's about it I think. Refer to the assembly instructions, it helps a lot.
Most likely the idlers stripped. You can upgrade to aftermarket alloy idlers.

Sorry, didn't know you had not even checked the spur and pinions before posting for help. You mentioned "inside the transmission" which I interpreted as inside the transmission gear box, and the spur is located outside the gear box.

Btw disassembling and reassembling really helps in understanding the truck, so it's definitely not time wasted. You will know where to troubleshoot from if something goes wrong, and you can almost pinpoint the fault even before disassembling.
