RE: Gyro Troubles ?????
I've been flying with carbon fiber rotors for the last few weeks and I agree that they make the DF look mean and much more professional. When I fly at night, the helo just disappears into the black sky at around 25 ft because of the all black airframe and the new black CF rotors. If it wasn't for the LED nav lights, I probably wouldn't see it again. One other advantage is that there are no more frame strikes from high altitude descents or aggressive moves like with the nylon rotors. That is also because these rotors sit higher on specially raised rotor heads providing about a 1/2" of clearance rather than the standard head providing about an 1/8" or less of clearance.

RE: Gyro Troubles ?????
After happily flying outdoor for several minutes, I tried landing my DF on a table. Overshot the table and "landed" the DF inverted.
After picking up my DF and wanted to fly again, discover that the front & rear motor doesnt seems to reponse anymore - when throttle 25-50 % power. ( only the left & right is spinning).
The front & rear motor only spin when power is 75% onwards.
I checked the cables, seems all right

RE: Gyro Troubles ?????
I had a gyro failure no roll control, pitch and yaw ok. this was a new board out of the box.
Found some information on the ENC family of gyros, the Draganfly i have uses ENC-05.
It may explain some of the wobbles & crash problems we have had.
I think the vibration is hard on the gyros and if you have a hard landing you have problems.

I wonder if there are any "hardened" gyros available that will work in the DF?

RE: Gyro Troubles ?????
Of course, it should be said that that really does sound like CYA language...I really can't imagine going to all the trouble to design, build, test, market and manufacture the Draganflyer if the gyros are not good pieces of equipment. It's not like the DF is a $200 toy.

RE: Gyro Troubles ?????
Well, now I really think that's just CYA language. The folks at DFI know what they're doing. My gyros survived my bad crash, see the [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4070544/tm.htm]repair and flight test report[/link] I just posted.
