Default fuel help

im using traxxas top fuel in my savage x with the stock motor. it jus seems like im not gettin top performance out of it i have to lean the engine alot. what fuel should i get?? i was lookin at o'donnel.

Traxxas fuel = too much oil = tuning issues = one way slippage = loss of power


If you use Odonells and don't like it, sell your truck or quit the hobby. It's about as good as it gets, and you won't find a bad word about it.

Just keep leaning until you get the crisp high RPM sound. Lean a little and run. Check temp and do it again. Try not to get over 275 - 280. For me I found that switching form Traxxas Top Fuel to Bryon's Racing Fuel dropped my engine temps by 20 degrees. I have heard that O'donnel's will do the same. Added Note: I also quit having OWB problems.

I have read in forums that once you have switched to a higher percentage of Nitro, you should not to go back to the lower percentage fuel. Is this what you are referring to? I have never tested this theory. I am a little dubious about that statement. However I can not argue for or against it.

i switched from 20% to 25% in my jato and nothing has happened yet..... you jus need colder plugs.
