Clutch Shoe Spring Breaks Again....
Hey I need to upgrade my shoes and spring. What is the best upgrade? I keep breaking the Traxxas spring (3rd one) probably cuz I have my slipper too tight? Any info on this problem and any solutions on an upgrade???

RE: Clutch Shoe Spring Breaks Again....
Like I said, I ain't never broke one.....the clutch, shoes and spring on the PICCO were used off the 2.5R(about 3 gallons), have almost another gallon thru the PICCO, and still gong strong......
The OS is still less than a gallon on the new M.I.P. and going strong.

RE: Clutch Shoe Spring Breaks Again....
Im not sure what your issue is, I have never broken a spring, ever. Im near 6-7gal through my motor. I have melted springs into my aluminum shoes to the point you can't seperate the two, but never broken them. Interested in hearing others situations....

I have never broken a spring either. I have melted them to the clutch shoes MANY times. I just rebuilt my clutch actually... the clutch shoes melted to the inside of the clutch bell and caused the whole thing to lock up haha WOOPS! Thats what happens when your slipper clutch is too tight and you bash the living crap out of your truck!
