Default piston and spur

ok got my X today im so pumped so i want to break in soon so how do i know if the piston is bottom dead center? and im quite the noob so i dont know how do tighen or loosen the spur gear so how do i do that and one more thing, i hear ppl complain about the savy X spur mesh so do u know if it comes to tight or too loose??

bdc, turn over with your finger or pull slow and right after the pinch, you can feel when the piston isnt under pressure. also you can pull the glow plug out and look inside and watch the top of the piston down, anyway once you get it at bottom just mark a spot on your flywheel with paint or a perm marker/ scribe a line and put it in the same spot when your done running.

as for the X questions I cant answer I dont own one.

when at bdc does it make a pop noise?
