Default Anyone tried Dds Gold Spur gear ????

Has anybody try this spur out ??? If yes what you think would the best match for the bell ??? Its the Dds gold steel spur gear 52 for savage X

Have not had a problem with my stock spur so I do not see why I would change to a heaver one. Sorry cannot help you on this one. But if you get a steel spur make sure you use the correct CB.

i dont have the gold 52 tooth but i do have this brand. i have the purple 49 tooth. its not given me any problems. just make sure if you buy it that you get slipper pads because they dont come with it.

It doesnt look like it can take a regular slipper pad but i could be wrong...

From the reviews i had read, someguy is somehow right. Slipper pads don't exactly fit, but they do their job. This guy who wrote the review had run it through almost 2 gallons and not one problem. I might try it out. @ 49/18 spur strips like a paper. 52/18 does a great job but looses much of its top end. I use it only for bashing around.

friday...i'm running 18/49 and have yet to strip a spur. you might look into what you're doing wrong.

I have the purple gear, almost 2 gallons through it and not a single problem. I used the stock slipper pads without any problems.

the only thing i encountered with the pads were the fact that the pads are a little larger then the center of the spur....but oh well they hang over...once you put the front slipper plate on it covers up the pad so you dont even notice unless you take it off. its only a few milimeters that its off...nothing to lose any sleep over.
