Default engine disassembly

I have a 1.2 cubic inch engine. the bearings feel ceased up. I can't get the connecting rod off the back side of the crank to remove the shaft. What am i doing wrong?

Mark the piston AND liner so you know how they will reassemble. Then remove the piston liner. Once the liner is out you should have no problems. I also suggest marking the connceting rod so you will know which way it goes for reassembly.
