Default que. about a dead flat battery

i have accidently left on my transmitter this day and wonder if you charge it up for 15 hrs to full peak charge will the drop rate be faster because the batterys cell was totally dead? is this good for the batteries to be dead without any movements on the controls? i have a 600 mah in the tx and a 800 mah in the reciever nicd can someone tell me thanks

We have all done this a time or two. Chances are, a full 16 hour charge with the wall wart that came with the system will recharge the batterys okay. There is a chance that one or more cells were damaged but probably not. If the voltage comes up to specifications (greater than 4.8 on the reciever and greater than 9.6 on the transmitter) you are probably okay. Do not try to use a fast charge to restore these though, it needs the slower long charge rate.

Got ya beat. Left my receiver switch on ALL WINTER. Put it on the wallwart (not cycler yet) for a day. Then cycled it a couple of times. No problem at all. Comes back up to within 90% of cap.

Check yours but it may turn out ok.

Your transmitter uses the same amount of power when you're not steering anything...
