Default Another Crash - temporary loss of power?

Well, this happened about 2 weeks ago but I have been slammed so I just now have the time to talk about it. I was flying at night at the stadium (Bermuda Triangle) again where I had the other crash decidedly due to a glued motor mount. This time I was flying over the parking lot which is asphault and flew for about 6 minutes with a couple of glitches as it has done several times before here and other places but these were short and I recovered like the other times as well. Then about 3 minutes later, all of the sudden I went to hover about 50 feet away and about 30 feet high and it went silent. [X(] I thought it would recover but it dipped completely vertical and went straight into the asphault! You can imagine the noise it made. I saw a rotor pop off, then the canopy and I feared the worst. I ran over to assess the damage and was pleasantly surprised to find very minimal damage considering the height it fell from and landing vertically tail first on the hard ashphault. The circuit board had popped out of all landing strut slots and the DF LEDs were lit. The rear motor gear was destroyed and the motor pinion shaft was bent and of course that motor mount was severed, one nylon bolt was sheared off but the solder joints, wiring and capacitor were unharmed I found the rotor gear's pieces 25 feet away in three directions. The vertical circuit board was bent....AGAIN! This will be the third time with this original board being bent!

Well, I couldn't figure out what had happened. I'm thinking it was a temporary power loss because as I said the DF LEDS were lit but as if it had been reset for a new flight. It's possible that it was an RF hit that brought it down and the impanct could have yanked the power connector and instantly turned the power on and then back on resetting it. I'm thinking it was a power loss in mid-air possibly because of loose battery terminals in the plastic plug that have widened over time and usage and don't fit snuggly around the terminal posts. I can't wait to see if that board was damaged.

Looks like loose battery connector. The temporary loss of power was enough to reset the board.... and the damn arming button was too far

Yep, agreed with ElVela...So this doesn't sound like the "glitch" problem, then, because that problem has not been previously associated with an in-flight reset.

I have experienced that kind of situation three or four times before. It was always the fuse not very good inserted in the board.
