Bandit Fuel Tanks
I built the third tank from the kevlar sleeve forgoing the dubro
tank.
My question is...can I install a brass t-fitting in the top that
so that the main tank feeder lines can connect directly, or,
is there a reason why you must 'T' the main tank feeder lines
before they connect to the third tank?
Thanks in advance

Bandit tanks
Hi Mach 1
The current trick is to put the metal stopper cap as the main tanks, and put an elbow at the rear top. That way, you can get the tubing to lay down below your hatch line, if thats a problem. I'm not sure if BVM gives you that elbow with the metal cap in front or not. Making that front one into a real tank is good for about 4 more ounces of fuel. Then you can put your elbow on a short length of tubing and then to your tanks. Hope this helps.

4 more oz?
I'd heard about the retro mod of ripping out the poly header tank from inside the kevlar outer to get more capacity (4 oz. in this case). What sort of h/w do we need to get to button up the front end of the "new" kevlar tank so it becomes a tank itself and are there any other items/tricks to consider?
4 oz. more would be great to have.
Thanks for any help.

If you've already cut your kevlar sleeve for the pastic tank you'll need a new kevlar sleeve, and then all the tank fittings. BVM probably has it all as one package since the fuse tank for the BobCat XL is the same thing. I made the change to my Bandit and I think it's worth it. It's not a lot more fuel, but it is lighter then the old set-up. It takes up the same space, so you might as well carry more fuel.

If you buy the whole "package" the go fill it price is $50 that is sleeve, fittings and all. You can buy just the fittings if you have not cut the sleeve. BV told me it added about 10 oz but I never measured it. Add a UAT and you can use all the contents of the header if you are confident.
