Default Friction Pegs or Steel Balls?

I've heard some people use steel balls in place of their friction pegs.i just wanna see what everybody uses.or if theres downsides to use steel balls

Steel balls work much better as they do not wear out.

I still have the original 6 pegs from when it was new a year ago. Never even burnt up a spur gear yet. Seems to work fine for me.

I bunt three spur gears due to friction pegs. I think steel balls would be a good idea!
