Default DA50r guestion

i just bought a used plane with a DA50r on it. the guy had a junk 600mah battery on the ignition. i put a 6v nimh 2700mah on it but then i saw on the side of the ignition box 1600 nicad minimum. what the reason for nicad. will it be a problem to run the nimh. i dont have a manual or know where to get info for this engine. any help would be great. thanks

I have a 6V 1100 Nimh and it flies all day. If I run it out I'd need a nappy after that long of a day. [&o]
