coverting 2 speed scroll saw to variable speed?

Default coverting 2 speed scroll saw to variable speed?

is it possible to convert a 2 speed scroll saw to variable speed by installing a variable speed switch? or is it more involved? i quess what i am asking is by installing a variable switch on the 2 speed saw will that allow the motor to turn FASTER???? than it does being just 2 speeds?

The motor will most likely not turn any faster. The variable reohstat (speed switch ) will allow you to get more precise speeds.

You can use a variable switch but as Campy sez, it won't run any faster than it does now.
