Triple Rotors?
Anyone familiar with these rotors, and if they are worth anything? I know the X uses a triple rotor, but wasn't sure how these would perform on the V TI Pro.

RE: Triple Rotors?
According to DFI, the DF I-V motors don't put out enough torque for 3 props. At 200+ a set I'd hate to buy them and be wrong...

Agreed! So to upgrade the motors, to a better motor, like brushless etc, it requires a different Circuit Board I think I read? I am new into all of this, so wasn't sure.

RE: Triple Rotors?
It's funny, with their 2 bladed rotors they made a statement in their e-bay ad that anything over 6 grams would affect the gyro responce. Yet they are saying that the 3 bladed rotors are 8 to 8.5 grams a piece. Guess that if you charge more money, it doesn't affect the gyros? LOL

I wrote an e-mail to the seller about the weight issue...
Here is what he replied back.
Hello Greg,
Dont`t worry. Note: these are different blades. The Diameter is 1 1/2'' more less as the two wing blades, so I need with the newest blades not so much lift for each wing of the three wing blade. The engines runs very nice with the new blades, because the Diameter is more less than the old one. I hope you understand what I mean.
You'll have to excuse his english, he is from Germany!
I might invest in a set...
Have'nt decided yet.
$50 a blade????
He must make them to order..
He said the wait is about 10 days..
Hope this helps.

RE: Triple Rotors?
Ya, I remember reading they were smaller diameter. But forking out the $200 was kinda iffy if they were worth it. Let me know.
Thanks for being the tester!

Here is a larger image of the triblade rotor assembly. Click to supersize it. I don't understand why manufacturers don't use more detailed images.

When I get mine, I will post better pictures.
And keep everyone posted on the details.
Just got 10" of snow today, not a good day to fly!

RE: Triple Rotors?
I would like to see a post abot how well the 3 bladed rotors worked, I really like the carbon fiber blades on my helicopters, I would like to see a user write up about these.
