Better main Blades
I am looking for a better set of main blades, I tried the new Black Plastic Pegasus blades, and they flex allot during high speed flight and banking turns.
They will start to chatter against the frame in fast forward flight. i added a couple of washer under the gear, to raise it a bit, making the blades slightly higher off the frame, and this worked well for fast flight
But the problem is there is more flex in the whole shaft assembly, because the screw doesnt sit deep enough. The main gear rides on a plastic shaft, by placing washer under the gear you raise it and the blades but the makes the plastic shaft flex

RE: Better main Blades
I am assuming from your other post that you didn't get a DF V Ti. Part of the problem that you are experiencing with frame strikes is the quick corrections needed while flying without Ti. I fly with the new composite rotors and a set of CF rotors and there is a big difference in performance. I occassionally get strikes with the composite rotors but mostly only when making intentional quick changes of direction while flying with Ti. Other than that, it's very rare that I get strikes with those rotors because Ti provides such smooth control. When you have a pound of weight shifting in the air at a moment's notice and flexible rotors that are only .25" above the rotor arms, something has to give and it's the rotors that will flex and tap the frame. You will also notice that those rotors cone up during normal flight providing at least .5" of clearance. However, because the composite rotors do flex, that also makes flying much smoother. If you really want quick responses with little to no strikes, get some CF rotors. They are very rigid and sit at least .5" to .75" above the rotor arms and don't flex as much so you will get more sensitive control. I haven't tried the one piece CF rotors. I use the 2 piece type that have a custom main gear that has raised and pitched mounts for their specific use.

dzydvl, I believe you are talking about a totally different helo than what we are talking about. The Draganflyer V Ti Pro and SAVS is a helo with 4 horizontal rotors. I think you're talking about the traditional type of helo. There are several other forums for those types.
