Just a quick question about servos.
Hi I have a mojo .40 with all standard Futaba S3004 BB servos and a 5 cell 720 mah receiver pack. My question is, can these servos take much abuse? for example....violent snap spins and blenders? or should i get stronger servos? I think the torque of my servos on a 5 cell is 57ounces.

While I have used standard servos on my Edge 540,Yak and Katana V2 with no problems at all (All three of these are the same size as a Mojo) I really do like to use Futaba 3010's personaly, waaaaayyyy overkill on torque but why not! They are the same weight and cost just a fraction more.

I use the **** out of them on my mojo 40 with a five cell. tail smashes (tail taps gone a little wrong, where you hit the tail too hard), very violent snaps on take off, basically I fly the plane like I hate it and the servos take it all. Ya they can take abuse. just watch the full throttle runs, because it will handle them for short 7 sec runs, they (or any servos) will give out and the surfaces will flutter causing you prized airplane to crash. (never happened to me but I have seen it happen). so if you use the up and down movement on the left stick and never go full foward unless in an upline, you will be fine and you will love the airplane.

alright thanks guys. I feel much better now. I might upgrade to better ones later on. I think I might need a new reciever battery with more mah. Mine only lasts about 2 or 3 flights(5 cell 720 mah). Plus my plane is pretty nose heavy, i could really use a heavier battery in the back of the wing. what reciever batteries do yall use?

If your battery uses AAA-sized cells, get rid of it.
These tiny cells just can't reliably deliver the kind of current your servos will be drawing with hard-core 3D stuff and you will eventually experience a failure (don't ask how I know :-)
A *much* better option is a battery built from the 2/3A sized GP1100 hi-current cells. I get mine from Radical RC and they're bloody marvelous. My Mojo 60 has two 5925 high-speed digitals on the tail and two S3010s on ailerons. The GP1100-based 5-cell pack gives me easily 40 minutes of reliable flying between charges with plenty of capacity in reserve.
Being a high-current cell, these batteries will also take a fast field charge so you can top them up for 10 minutes after every third or fourth flight and fly all day.

You want low impedance cells that will deliver high currents with low voltage drops when your servos are highly loaded.
