Best racing small block
looking to get into racing and I want to hear from everyone what I should drop in my revo 3.3 since that engine is toast. I've heard a lot about 0.S. .18 TM w/ revo header but I always want more power and am dumping the ez-start anyhow after that's toast too. What should I throw in it??

Well if you're racing I wouldn't suggest a truck with to much power. If you're not happy with the power the os 18 tm or tz provide you can get them EB modded. The tm would be better for smaller tracks as it has allot more bottom end wheras the TZ has more top end, get them EB modded and you will have a screamer. The TZ takes a bit of mucking around to fit in a revo though. If you're really not happy you could get allot of engines but as far as small blocks go, they are the best. Now big blocks in small block footprint you can get a few nice engines, picco .26 maxx and a few others. I say get either a TM or TZ depending on your track (tm for tighter and tz for longer straights) and if you're not happy, get it modded.

It depends on the track that you will be racing at. If you really want to you can go to the track and see what everyone else is running and that will give you a good indication on whats good at your track. Ask around and see what they like for this track. Rather it be big torque or big hp, then stay and watch them race. Pick a vew guys with the motor that you like and watch them.
But remember with 4wd's it's not as bad but you still have to have a good throttle finger. If your spinning the tires coming out of the corners then all that power is usless. Throttle control is where it's at, having said all of that.
It depend on the track size for a smaller more technical track I would use the engine with more torque, for the larger tracks I would use the higher rpm, more hp numberd engine. But somehow I have a feeling the TM would do great at either track. But of course so would the TZ though.
