Default Synthesized Tx with standard fm rx???

Will this work? If my TX is synthesized can I just dial the frequency channel of the standard RX I want to control. Or vise versa, if my TX is a standard 75 mhz fm and my RX is 75 mhz synthesized can I just dial the rx frequency channel to match the controller?

Just wondering.
