RE: Speed Radar Gun (Hot Wheels)
My bro got one for his birthday, he's 6 now, and it sucks on anything small than a 1:1 car. I can't get any RC's going more than 20mph. It's accurate on cars, but not so much on 1:10 or 1:8 stuff.

They are neat and will be fun but hand held radar guns are not real accurate even with high dollar ones. The have been know to clock a tree going 70 MPH. Still would be fun to have and you can buy better ones for about $75 on up. Just do a search on the net. The only acceptable way to set get a certified speed recorded is to have a certified speed trap something like they use for drag racing.

RE: Speed Radar Gun (Hot Wheels)
After my buddy and I got our cars (TL-01 and TT-01) my fiance and his wife picked one up from Wal-mart. From what we could tell it was decently accurate, putting my stock TL-01 about 13mph and my buddies stock TT-01 at 13.5 or 14 mph. You do have to be fairy close to get accurate readings, we found it best to be pointing the gun straight ahead and drive the car full speed directly towards it (just have the person holding it spread their legs a bit and drive the car right on through without slowing down).
I just upped the power in my TL-01 so I'll break it back out when I get home and see what I can clock my car at.
