Default The Composites Store

I don't know whether or not it's the "best" place to buy, but another source you might consider is The Composites Store:

Default Your right!!!

I never thought of looking for composite supplies on ebay, but I just did a search and found a company that sells carbon for about 1/3 of what cst and aerospace are getting.
It is called Carbon World for those who are interested.

Key Kevin:

How about a link to Carbon World. I couldn't find it in a search and it isn't at carbonworld.com.

Actually it is, sort of. That gets you to what I guess is the home page of the parent company then the 9th hyperlink down on the left side gets you to the composites page.

This is it: http://www.carbonworld.com/carfibprod.html

I didn't want to post a link since they are not a RCU supporting vendor and I wasn't sure what the rules about this on this forum. If the mods get upset I will remove it.

Kevin - it's not a problem at all. Anytime you find a company providing cool stuff, you are welcome to tell us about it and post their URL for all to see.

Also, if someone asked "where can I buy carbon...", carbonworld themselves would be entitled to answer that question with some info about what they carry and how to get it from them etc... because they would in that case be directly answering a question asked by an RCU member.

If carbonworld were to come here and post unsolicited info about their products, then (regardless of whether they are a paid advertiser or not), that would be against the rule about not advertising in the main forums. By unsolicited, I mean e.g.
  • Starting a new thread that announces and advertises their products. (That belongs in the Product Announcement forum only.)
  • Diverting a thread, such as answering a question that wasn't asked. e.g. responding to a thread about what kind of wheels to buy for your aircraft with a reply that says "We have low prices on Brand-Y servos which would be ideal for your aircraft, call for pricing" (If the question had been about where to get good prices on servos, the answer would be fine since it was solicited; since it wasn't, the answer counts as an ad).

Hope that helps clear things up.

Gordon

David,

Not sure where in Texas you are located but, Mike's Hobby Hangar in Carrollton carries a good selection of our CF products.

Of course you can also order from our online store if that is not convenient.
