Default Buying a Revo 3.3 tonight. A few questions...

1. I thought that I might need some extra glow plugs during break-in. I looked on Tower Hobbies but they're sold out or Traxxas glow plugs. Are there any equivalent substitutes?

2. Is this battery any good? I'm only considering it because it's the cheapest one, but if there's something better for a couple dollars more I'd get it.

3. The charger included with the Revo comes with an adapter to charge a 7.2V battery, correct?

4. Shot in the dark, but does anyone have a Tower Hobbies coupon code? I found one for $20 but if there's one worth more than that let me know, please. [8D]

If I think of anything else I'll add it.

Thanks. [8D]

The battery is fine.
The charger is only meant for the receiver pack.

You sure? In the manual it said it came with a "7.2-volt battery pack adapter" and on the Traxxas site it says "TRX POWER CHARGER: The TRX Power Charger, makes fast charging (in about an hour) as simple as just plugging it in. Peak detection ensures a perfect charge, everytime. For use with Traxxas RX Power Packs. Now charges your 7.2V EZ-Start battery!"

Ditch the wnad starter and get a bump box especially if you rgonna race. I like the Ballistic Revo Starter Box or the RD works.

Well get a better charger anyways. It's not nice having to charge your batteries one at the time.

agreed, even though the charger does charge the 7.2 volt battery it will take over 1 hr to charge
after the 7.2 is done the reciecver pack will be another 30 minutes atleast.
You better off spending another $30 for a decent charger.

Alright thanks, I'll keep that in mind for the near future.

I don't feel like spending another $30 tonight unless I absolutely need to, though.

2 quarts, actually. Still not much, but when I run out I will have some motivation to drive to the hobby shop down the road and see what they have.

if you spend much time on road you may want to pick up some new or used road rage tires, the stock ones for the most part will have you rollin' rollin' rollin'. Enjoy the new ride joe

It said in the manual that you could use after run oil products or WD-40(which I have plenty of). The air filter oil was an oversight, though. I didn't really know how long what it came with would last. Another reason to check out the hobby shop down the road, I guess.

Well, since it's been brought up, will I have any problems using WD-40?

No WD-40 is by far perfect.

SPPaintball0- Congrats on the buy.
However, you should have checked out your lhs before you bought the car. They may have matched the price of tower. Even if they are a few bucks more, down the road all the help they offer you will be well worth it. Just prepare for when you need help and they tell you to leave it with them for a labor fee. If you bought it from them mostlikely they would help you out with the problem. When ever I sell someone a car at work, I always empasize the fact that if they have any questions I am there to help.
None the less have fun!
