What Carbs will fit on the Star 25 Engine?
Please help
What other carbs will fit the Nitro Star .25 Engine?
My carb is loose on my .25 Nitro Star Engine in my Savage 25.
I am having a hard time finding a carb for it for what I want to pay. Plus on e-bay there is not many choices I can find. I Hear some problems with the original carb.
HPI Said I would need to replace the carb. The Engine seems to run ok, but am worried about it sliding back and forth, plus it causes my throttle to be inconsistant.

XTM 24.7 carbs will fit nice. Plus it's a all alloy body. No plastic body to crack which is probably causing your issue.

Force .26, SH.28 (not pro-spec). The SH carb also has a larger throat which gave my old S25 a bit more power. It also looks similar to the XTM carb pictured above

For starters, when my carb came lose on my LE I called HPI
and told them about it. They sent me a new carb.
I also have bought spares off of E-Bay. Here are a few
of the ones I have bought and do fit. The losi carbs have a
smaller I.D. but I ream them open to 8.2 mm anyway.

this hapened to me and i got a sportwerks .26 carb. but now i got a new engine. it only has 3/4 of a gallon it. if u would like to purchase it pm. but it's pending right now

Any carb from a big block engine will fit.
I used one from a Mach .26. The Sportwerks carb is better though because it comes with interchangable inserts. Both are about 1/2 the price of the stock HPI carb. And easier to find too.

Not every carb from a big block will fit.
The HPI 4.6 is a big block but the outside diameter
of the carb body where it fits into engine block is bigger
then an S-25 carb body. Not all big block carbs will fit.
I have a 4.6 carb and it is much bigger. I've been fooling
around with carbs for the S-25 for almost two years and
it looks like a carb off anything bigger than a .26 will not fit.

I have never had a problem to date with a composite carb but there is a reason they are going to composite as the composite does not hold heat like metal and cuts down on vapor locks.
