Default HL s&s Pershing Sprocket

Hi Guy's

Just recieved My s&s Bulldog and s&s Pershing.
The Bulldog is great but the Pershing has a major wobble on the left rear drive sprocket.

I took the track off and got the outside half of the sprocket off but that's as far as I got.

I'm no t sure where to go from here, the wobble looks like it's in the shaft and the tanks seems to be labouring do to this problem.

Any input would be appreciated as I have already painted it so taking it back is out.

I sent Mato an Email but did not get a repliy yet.

I've heard that the HL drive shafts are made of brass. Could it be that it is bent?

Thanks for the coneback.

Yea I guess its possible the shaft is brass problem is I got the outside half of the sprocket off butt don't know where to go from here.

I don't want to start prying the rest if it doe's come off.

I'm looking into this and will let you know what I find. I want to remove the sprockets on a non S&S Pershing as well, and also plan on replacing the sprkt screws with allen head screws and flat washers. This and some medium strength loc tite may help keep these screws tight.

Hi that happend to mine unscrew it and twist the outter sproket it clicks in place and snaps both sections together then re tighten it....Mine came lose and the outter section rotated and it makes the sproket look bent because it's not set in place properly.

have drilled through my shaft to lock the slipping plastic gear and the shaft are made of metal ,not brass.

like the others have said,
it is probably the screw inside the sprocket that is loose or the gearbox inside is loose (loose bushing) or not well srewed
.

Thanks for the comebacks guy's.

Mato was pretty good about the problem they suggested sending me a new sprocket.

Low and behold they sent me 2 metal sprockets no charge.

Haven't done anything with them yet just got my Panther to keep me interested for a while.
