Default Dragon's Magic track system

I was just visitng the hobby shop while on lunch break and spoted something that caught my eye..

a 1/35 scale King Tiger w/Porsch turret..

The kit is makde by Dragon but it said 'with magic track".. from what I can see the track links have pins that snap in place..

Anybody know anything about these tracks?

They're not moveable once they're assembled. You have to glue them in place.

For workable 1/35 tracks, there are ModelKasten(injection plastic) and Fruilmodellismo (metal)

I checked out a site with both Modelkasten and Frueilmodel tracks...nobody make a trackset for the E100 tank..however I did see a track type from a Russian tank that was a close
look a like for the type of track.. either way I need ot do my homework on this one to find them. DML's tracks with this tank have 4 solid tracks and the rest are glue on tracks..

I can't say I was not warned but I love a challenge now and then..

The E-100 tracks are just King tiger tracks with extensions cast on the ends of each link. other than that they are exactly the same.

So your saying a King Tiger tracks will work on the sprockets on this tank?!

If so then I will continue working on getting this tank ready for RC conversion.

As far as i can tell yes. Be sure to test it first obviously using some KT links, but when i compared them they appeared to be exactly the same except for the extensions.

Do you have a E100 and King Tiger to compare them too?
