Evolution 26GT and Greatplanes Venus 2 ARF?
Do you think this will be a good combo?
This engine might be my 1st gasser.
Also,
if this ARF isn't good for this engine what airplane do you suggest?
In what airplane have you setup this Evo?
Kostas

RE: Evolution 26GT and Greatplanes Venus 2 ARF?
I think the engine is too heavy for it to be a really good flyer, Kostas. I hate to burst your bubble. The Venus II only has a 66" wingspan, IIRC, and that Evolution 26GT ( I have one within Arm's reach) is not a light engine.
The Brillelli 26cc SPE conversion engine is only one ounce heavier than a Saito 1.20 and is quite small in its foot print. Being a little cheaper helps, but wouldn't sway me that much.
I have the Venus II ARF myself and am still trying to make up my mind which engine to use. I'm leaning very heavily toward the YS 1.10. I'm not after 3D flying, but I do want it to emulate a decent pattern ship.
Maybe someone out there has tried the Evolution 26GT in the Venus II and will jump in here...?
