RE: Kroma engines
Hello DKjens,
I think you made a mistake.
Our site still in Portuguese language and the prices showed are in the Brazillian currency which is Real. The conversion rate from Real to US dollars is aroun 2.20/1.0 . That price is not the price for US market. We are working to set the price for the final costumer in US. It will take a few more weeks and we hope that it could be done until the beginniig of new year.
We are working with Tom Fawcett from Wild Hare and as soon as we woud set everydetails we will give you more information.
What we can tell now is that our engines are very good, reliable and very promizing.
Thank you for your attention.

RE: Kroma engines
Marcelo,
I used an online currency converter and converted your on-line price in Brazillian $ to US $, and what I listed is the result. So unless you have some sizeable Brazillian sales tax already added to your price, I don't see it how it would be lower.

RE: Kroma engines
HI DKJENS,
IF YOU CHECK THE KROMA´S WEB SITE, YOU`LL SEE THE SAME PRICE AS TORCH HERE IN BRAZIL
I THINK THE TORCH 180 IN THE US WILL COST BETWEEN US$ 1350 AND US$ 1450,00
THE TORCH GUYS ARE VERY COMPETITIVE!
I KNOW THEM.
REGARDS
MARCIO

RE: Kroma engines
Randy,
Compaired to the DA the Kroma is a long stroke. I am running the 180 on my
42 lb Extra and from a hover the plane will go out of sight.
Goggles has the Kroma 180 on an AM yak around 48lbs and thinks the 180 is better

RE: Kroma engines
Sounds to me like both the Torch and the Kroma are both good choices. In sizes like a 180 a few ounces either way is like spitting into the wind. Not worth the effort. I have a funny feeling the the prop rpm differences would be just as negligible. The biggest difference between the two of them will likely be found in pricing and customer support. In those areas the one that performs the best will be the end winner.
