Default modifying remote for greater range

Hi I was just wondering if there is any way for me to extend the range of an rc tank I got from radio shack. It is 27 mh and it can go about half meter when it is out of range.
thanks for your suggestions.

What do you mean? You've got a half meter range!?

The only way to (possibly) get better range with out modding teh electronioncs is to use a 1/2 wavelength antenna but that would be a 5.5 m antenna. LOL

Simple answer = no

Hi so there is no way for me to boost the signal or something. Even if it requires some tweaking I believe I am up to the challange. Are there guides somewhere for this.
