Default Spektrum SR3500 "small" RX

Anyone have the new small RX? I bought one and am trying to install it in my mini.

When I first powered up the RX started blinking as it should, I was not ready to bind so I shut it down. When I had the TX in hand and went to try again, the LED on the RX remained lit after power on (no blink). How then do I get this sucker to bind? BTW - the bind plug is in. I tried removing, power up, power down, then re-installing. Nothing works.

I lost my bind plug. Can you tell me what ports the wires go in? The 2 outside pins or 1 outside to the middle pin?

Thanks in advance,
Dave.

I'll take an old servo extension and cut it up to make another bind plug. I just don't want to short out or damage the Rx by putting the wires in the wrong ports....
I suspect it is the 2 outside holes which would short signal to ground....

i just bought one and the instructions are not very clear. the bind plug is in the batt port, so how do you power it
up in a nitro vehicle to bind it??

You plug the battery lead into the 3rd channel. The Rx doesn't care.
On the bind plug, the wire goes to the 2 outside pins?
That is my main question.

It is a great Rx. You'll love it.

I need some help, please?
I am going to upgrade my M8 to a Spektrum module. Is the pro version better? I can't find the size of the SR3001 reciever anywhere. Is it the same size as the SR3000? For extra recievers is there any disadvantage with the small SR3500?
Thank you, I'm confused with all of the choices,

The 3500 is a great Rx but has no telemetry. If you will want that at a later date, then you will need to stick with the 3000 Rx. I have both and they both work well. The 3500 is a bit larger than a postage stamp (more or less) and about 1/2" think. The 3000 is about 1"x2".
The pro version is obviously newer and probably better but they all work fine. The pro version has a slightly faster response time....

Thanks taildraggerdave,
I went to my hobby shop and bought the pro and a 3010 pro rx for my second car. The guy in the shop recommended the 3010 because that was what he had, but he said it was probably more robust than the 3500.
