On-board Camera - Tony Hawk Helmet Cam???
Just recently bought this Tony Hawk Helmet Cam, it was on clearance after New Years at Walmart for just 20$. This was over 100.00$ when they first came out, so I just bought it because of the huge price drop. I am thinking of selling some but they were all gone.
I am just wondering if someone has used it for RC applications.
Thanks,

The resolution is at 320 x 240, it comes with a 32mb SD memory card which is good for 5 minutes of video. So more memory more recording time. I just tested the video quality at home with indoor lighting and was surprised that its pretty decent.
Just want to see it actually mounted on an RC.

I have been using this cam for almost 8 months now. I upgraded the Mem card to 1 gig. It actually works very well. Just make sure to use good foam for any vibration as the camera will turn it self off if it shakes to much.. I had to send my first one back due to the solder joints on the switch shaking lose. Blue Edge replaced it right away. Have fun with it. The sound works great and you can get some neat footage It will turn it self off after 15min no matter what.. I have tried to disable this setting but have not figured it out yet..

Yeah, I just bought one here in Sydney after the Christmas sales and have been using it on park flyers. The helmet strap works great on my Cessna 182 and the whole thing with strap weighs only 150 grams!! The video is OK but nothing special. Fine for Youtube and e-mail but you certainly wont be making any DVD's with it. Great value for $50.00AU

Thanks for sharing, This is defenitely a keeper, great deal for 20$. I though of selling it for twice as much but I'll now use it for my rc trucks.
