Default Sig 1/3 Spacewalker,DA-50

I am thinking of bulding the 1/3 Spacewalker and was wondering if anyone has tried a DA-50 for the engine or if the DA-50 will be enough. Also has anyone tried to mount floats on this for Seaplane use. Suggestions and comments welcome.

Thanks
Ron

Default RE: Sig 1/3 Spacewalker,DA-50

The DA would be more than enough. I had one that flew off of a Quadra 52 and flew well. A friend of mine has one on floats that flies off of a quadra 42 and flies very well. To build one with a DA 50 would be an awesome plane, it would have a ton of power and the engine is much lighter than a Quadra 42 or 52. Thanks for the idea I have a Sig 1/3 scale Spacewalker sitting in my storage room I will start to build that this year and will outfit it with a DA50!
