QQ 102" Gen II Yaks-a-smokin'!
Hey all,
Just thought I would share with everyone video and pics of my QQ Yak 54. I have been posting on QQ support forum, but I thought I would post-up here. It's a Gen II with DA 100, Slimline smoker muffs, Sullivan Smoke pump Pro, Duralite power box, and HITEC HS5955TG servos thru-out. I am really pleased the way the smoke system turned out, But I am especially pleased with the way this Yak performs! Thanks

I would imagine the AUW is about 29 LBS, (27.25 lbs emty), but it is still kinda rich and breaking in. I am about to change over to 80:1 synthetic, and tweak the needles about a 16th to a 8th of a turn on the high end, this weekend. The DA runs STRONG! Even when it is full of fluids, pull-outs are with authority, even better towards the last 5 minutes of flight. Average flight is 12 minutes with 1/3 tank of fuel.
I recovered the wings to personalize it a bit. There a plenty of QQ Yaks here in Orlando and I wanted mine to stand out.

Nice job on the wings, it makes the plane look a lot cleaner, that's a good idea!
I'm considering this plane and really the only thing holding me back is the color scheme, and there are several of them at my field and I usually like to be at least a little different.

Thanks! It is really easy to recover the wings. I did the Tops only of the wings and stabs. It was really worth the little extra work (and Ultracote!)[8D]
